In our core business, specialty chemicals, we are one of the leading companies worldwide. We also have interests in energy and real estate. For the human resource department in the corporate centre in Essen, Evonik is looking for a Head of Corporate HR-Strategy (m/f).

Responsibilities

  • Develop the HR strategy of the Evonik company;
  • Break down the company's HR strategie into projects and action plans as well as into partial strategies for the different business units;
  • Organise and lead the company-wide, international HR strategy in each business unit, in both, regional and central areas of the company; 
  • Carry out continuous research, analysis and assessment of the status quo and Evonik's company goals, as well as the HR relevant trends and benchmarking other companies;
  • Lead staff in international strategy HR projects and follow up with consulting companies;
  • Develop the HR governance structure and organisation across the company;
  • Main contact person for the Evonik executive board, top management and the HR departments;
  • Take part actively in meetings, conferences and think tanks.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree;
  • Extensive business experience in operative and strategical HR functions;
  • Good analytical skills, ability to think outside the box and strength in conceptual tasks; 
  • Experience in the planning and leadership of complex, international projects;
  • Broad business knowledge and overview of economical and social context;
  • Strong communicator, persuasiveness and assertiveness;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Goal orientated, responsible working attitude;
  • Experience in building and maintaining internal and external networks;
  • Confident demeanour, also on the international stage;
  • Good knowledge of the German and English language, both spoken and written;
  • Ready to travel and work abroad.
