INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate for the post of Head of the Payroll Unit in the Human Resources Sub-Directorate, Administration Directorate.

Introduction of Post
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for :
  • Issuance of the payroll of the officials of the Organization;
  • Management of the social benefits;
  • Relations with the national and private social security Institutions.
Primary Duties
(1) With the assistance of the the Payroll team
  • Manage salaries, allowances and contributions for all staff of the Organization (General Secretariat, Regional Bureaus and Liaison offices), including the unemployment benefits;
  • Prepare monthly and annual social contribution calculations and statements for the different collectors entities (national and international) and manage the N4DS;
  • Process registrations with and withdrawals from pension and health/welfare entities;
  • Administrate the time-management system;
  • Prepare post-payroll reports for the accounting department;
  • Assist staff with administrative (pension, complementary health insurance reimbursements, taxes, etc.) and health issues;
  • Act as advisor to managers;
  • Produce statistics and studies;
  • Act as the Sub-Directorate’s contact person for the IT department for the Personnel information system (SAP-ERP).
(2) Manage and supervise the work of the Payroll specialists and provide them with training support. Give the necessary instructions to achieve the objectives of the Unit.
(3) Participate in projects linked to organisational changes such as remuneration, health, life & disability, retirement, family benefits, staff welfare.
(4) Develop and adapt the computerized payroll and Personnel management system. Work closely with the contact person in the IT Department.

Post Requirements
All candidates will be assessed under the below mentioned requirements.

Training/Education:
•Minimum three years education at a University or other specialized higher education establishment. Ten years’ minimum experience in the area is required if the post holder does not have the required level of education.
Experience:
• At least 10 years in remuneration and payroll, 5 of which must be at a managerial level;
• Proven knowledge of the French social security and pension systems.
Languages:
• Professional proficiency in French and English.
Computer skills:
• Proven experience of the SAP payroll ERP (10 years minimum);
• Proficiency in the office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, etc.).

Specific skills: 
• Exposure to salary systems, medical and pension schemes in International Organizations
• Working knowledge of a third language of the Organization is preferable (Spanish or Arabic)
• Experience in an international professional environment is desirable
Working Conditions
• Remuneration for appointment on contract: The starting salary for GRADE 5 is 3479 € per month for a step 1.

• This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will also be required to work occasional overtime based upon workload.
