ICMA International Civil Engineer Job


ICMA (International City/County Management Association) is a premier local government leadership and management organization founded in 1914. Its mission is to create excellence in local governance by advocating and developing the professional management of local government worldwide.
ICMA seeking candidates for a USAID project, “Enhancing Capacity for Low Emission Development Strategies (EC-LEDS) Clean Energy Program.”. The purpose of the four year program is to support Georgia’s efforts to increase climate change mitigation through energy efficiency and clean energy. The broader goal is to enable more responsible management and development of Georgia’s natural endowments.
The Civil Engineer will focus on a wide range of energy-related activities such as energy efficiency, LEDS plans, designs, and address the challenges of improving energy efficiency and delivering a secure affordable low carbon energy supply from variety range of sources.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineer
• Masters degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 5 to 7 years in Renewable energy
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Georgia or in Central Asia and/or Eastern Europe
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn complex information
• Fluent in Georgian and English
