Job Responsibilities | ||
Reports To: ASTON SWIFT, VP INVESTOR RELATIONS, TAX AND TREASURY Employees Responsible for: None Function: This position will provide quality support to the Investor Relations function whilst training for a Finance qualification such as CIMA. Contract: This will be a 2 year graduate trainee programme Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): • Managing the IR activities calendar • Managing the e-mail and telephone investor meeting enquiries; setting these up and logging them • Liaising with the IR departments of the sell-side analysts for road shows and conferences • Being responsible for smooth running of the investor road shows, conferences, presentations and meetings ensuring the logistics are all organised and presentations are prepared and printed • Maintaining the electronic email database and physical investor database • Collecting the analyst financial forecasts and summarising these on spreadsheets; identifying and managing anomalies • Keeping the IR pages of the website up to date and fresh • Providing IR performance and statistics at end of month • Support for the creation of the presentations and stock exchange announcements • Supporting the IR Question & Answer schedules • Light support for the Heads of Tax and Treasury eg travel booking, printing and mail-outs. Competencies Required: This role is aimed at applicants keen to commence a career in finance. It will suit someone looking to participate in a key Head Office function which will give them knowledge and understanding of the financing of public listed companies. The ideal candidate will have: • Strong written and verbal communication skills • The ability to learn how to analyse basic financial information • An ability to absorb and retain information quickly • Attention to detail • Good organisational ability • Self motivated, look for and undertake system improvements • A flexible approach to working hours • Willingness to learn • Good time management skills; ability to combine study and work commitments Minimum Qualifications: • A 2:1 degree or equivalent is desirable The position offers the scope to utilise the full potential of the candidate. | ||
