Online Dissertation Advisors & Teachers


Master of Public Health Programme

The University of Liverpool in partnership with Laureate Online International Education delivers an interactive, online Master of Public Health programme with international reach in terms of both students and teachers. The programme has a strong track record and high academic standards. We are currently looking to recruit additional Instructional Faculty and Dissertation Advisors (DAs) with a current track record in Public Health related research, both quantitative and/or qualitative.
Whether teaching our modules and/or supervising dissertations you will need to have:
  • A Post Graduate Degree, preferably a doctorate
  • Published in a peer reviewed journal
  • Postgraduate teaching experience and/or active research/supervision experience
  • Excellent written communication skills in English
  • Facilitative disposition towards highly motivated adult students
Teaching is text based and asynchronous, and is not restricted to specific hours. Positions require a high level of commitment, including the willingness to login to class almost daily, including during weekends. Instructors are paid on a per-module or, for Dissertation Advising, on a per student basis.
The programme includes the following modules. Students must pass all the core modules and their choice from the elective modules before completing. We have a particular need to expand our teaching staff for all modules and in supervising research based dissertations:
Core Modules:
  • Health Promotion/Introduction to Public Health
  • Epidemiology & Statistics for Public Health Research
  • Qualitative Methods for Public Health Research
  • Leading and Managing Health Systems
  • Evaluation: Systems & Programmes
  • either a 2nd Qualitative Methods or Quantitative Methods
Elective Modules include:
  • Health Economics
  • Health Protection
  • Comparative Health Systems and Advanced Management
  • International Disaster Management
  • Policy & Programme Challenges in Low Income Countries
  • Epidemiology of Disease
  • Health Informatics
  • Advanced Epidemiological Modelling

Previous online teaching experience is not required, as suitable candidates will be trained online during a 4 week training session. Training is conducted 100% online.
