Program Analyst, USAID Bureau for Food Security Service Center

As the lead, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Bureau for Food Security (BFS), is tasked with the responsibility for the U.S. Government of carrying out the President’s vision to sustainably reduce global hunger and poverty. Through the provision of a broad, integrated, and knowledge-driven suite of expert technical services, the Bureau for Food Security (BFS) Service Center (Service Center/FSSC) Contract will complement existing BFS support to provide USAID Missions, USAID/Washington, other USG operating units, and host country counterparts targeted support to move the President’s agenda forward. The contract will enable BFS to provide short- and longer-term expertise for state-of-the-art food security support services and analyses; capacity building; and expert analysis and integration of cross-cutting issues that are critical to the success of FTF and also provide a mechanism for bridge programming and pilot innovations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Program Analyst will provide technical and administrative support to the program and will be able to assist in responding to USAID or host-country specific food security needs. This position will be based in USAID’s Bureau for Food Security in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications: The Program Analyst must have:
• 3-5 years’ experience in the following;
• International food security and/or development programming; • Excellent database and computer skills; • Have excellent communication and report writing skills.
Preferred qualifications: • Master’s Degree or higher in a relevant field;
• Minimum of five (5) years of developing-country and/or role relevant work experience;
• Candidate may also be considered with a Bachelor’s degree and ten (10 years) of developing country/role relevant experience.
