The role
We are currently seeking a talented Railway Development Specialist cum Team Leader to work closely with our other specialists to manage the O&M Phase of Hairatan to Mazar-e-Sharif Railway Development Project (HMRDP) in Afghanistan.
With a minimum of fifteen years' commercial experience in O&M of railway projects; you will play a key role in project management and implementation of Operation and Maintenance of HMRDP.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have:
  • 15 years' of experience in Operation and Maintenance of railway projects, 7 of which will have been in the consulting practice as Project Manager or Team Leader
  • Advanced Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in post conflict countries
  • Experience/knowledge on policies and guidelines of ADB or other multi/bi-lateral development institutions
  • Ability to prepare technical reports in English
