SUMMARY: Relief International is currently recruiting a Project Manager for a multi-year, USAID-funded Education in Crisis proposal.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for task order project development from inception to deployment. • Plans, organizes, and supervises the overall activities under a task order. • Responsible for task order contract management, configuration management, technical work, scheduling, and managing costs associated under the task order. • Ensures that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the task order requirements, including cost, schedule and quality parameters. • Interfaces with clients, conferring with USAID management on strategic issues to maximize impact and scale, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency and sustainability in achieving task order requirements. • Manages and controls funds and other resources for the task order and associated sub-contracts and grants under contract as required. Prepares status reports, budget information and other documentation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: • 10+ years of experience in senior project management, preferably in the field of education • Experience managing field-based programs of scale, preferably on USAID programs. • Experience in program design and implementation particularly targeting socio-economically marginalized communities in complex emergency and post-conflict settings. • Ability to live, work, and travel within crisis areas • Previous experience in crisis areas • Fluency in English required • Excellent diplomatic, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and team building ability. • Experience with civil society and community-based approaches is preferred.
US citizenship, permanent residency or authorization to work in the US required; we are unable to consider international candidates living overseas for this position.
