Take your management skills and commercial expertise, combined with an interest in using private sector approaches for international health and development, and join Population Services Lanka as Country Director, helping to transform the lives of thousands through the provision of sexual and reproductive health services.
As Country Director you will lead Population Services Lanka in the design and delivery of its national programme. You will represent the organisation, lead and ensure the delivery of strategic and annual plans and ensure that the Boardand International Partners are informed of all matters relating to the organisation’s work.
You will provide inspiring leadership through your management of a team of directors, preparing and executing annual budgets, marketing plans and work plans across a team of some 60 plus. Together with the team, you will develop and plan new business opportunities appropriate to the evolving Sri Lanka context. To be successful in this role you will be pro-choice and in support of access to family planning for all individuals and couples. You will have previous experience in senior management and leadership positions with a track record of achieving results and driving growth. International experience, ideally gained within Asia, is highly desirable. Experience of running a business is essential as is an understanding of sexual and reproductive health programming. Population Services Lanka offers a range of family planning choices through clinics and outreach services. In addition, we run a social marketing programme distributing short term contraceptives to private providers under brands including Sathuta, Romantic and Casanova.
