Strategic and Policy Research, DCMS
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport works to ensure the communications, creative, media, cultural, tourism, sport and leisure economies grow and have a real impact on the quality of people’s lives. Based in our Evidence and Analysis Unit, you’ll help to develop and deliver a coherent research strategy to support the development of a Departmental narrative around the social and well-being impacts of our sectors.
The role includes managing external contracts as well as working in-house and the provision of social research evidence and advice to support policy and decision making.
Social and Behavioural Research, DfT
The Department for Transport deals with issues of national and global importance. Our vision is for a greener, safer transport system that is an engine for economic growth and improves quality of life in our communities. Based in our Social Research and Evaluation Division, you’ll be involved in a broad range of cross-cutting strategic work in priority areas such as HS2 and road user safety. Key tasks will include using the evidence base to inform and influence policy options and advising on the impact of policy proposals.
Evaluation, DfT
The Department for Transport’s Evaluation Team assesses the real world effectiveness, efficiency and impacts of transport interventions and feeds information into policy making, delivery and appraisal systems, as well as implementing the Department’s monitoring and evaluation strategy. You’ll use your excellent research and stakeholder engagement skills to promote best practice, provide quality assurance and advise policy divisions on social research and evaluation methods.
