Position Summary:
The Business Analytics Intern will support MSI’s proposal planning and knowledge management efforts. S/he will conduct targeted research on funding trends, the competitive landscape, and relevant technical areas. S/he will also support data collection and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities:
  • Desk research including client, competitive, sector and country landscaping.
  • Data management and visualization.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual market trend analysis.
  • SharePoint data upload for knowledge management and proposal planning, including uploading and maintaining USAID Business Forecast data.
  • Additional tasks as identified
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and managing large datasets.
  • Creative and solutions-oriented thinker.
  • Research experience with identifying market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, including facilitation.
  • Ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people including senior managers.
  • Solid critical analysis skills.
  • Self-starter, comfortable taking initiative and executing tasks with little supervision
  • Understanding of information technology and knowledge management including: GIS mapping and data visualization, SharePoint, and website development.
  • Interest in business development and/or international development field.
