Director, Social Enterprise Acceleration Programme

Gross salary in the range £65,192 - £84,750 per annum depending on proven ability, plus excellent benefits.

IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a world-wide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals.

Starting this year, IPPF will begin operationalizing an innovative programme in social entrepreneurship. This three-year pilot programme is an exciting experiment that will enable IPPF and its Member Associations (MAs) to explore how social enterprise approaches can be used as a means of financing health service delivery.

IPPF is looking for a Programme Director to build on the programme’s initial design, launch the programme with MAs around the world, and take forward our ambitious agenda on social enterprise. The role will provide strategic direction and will oversee the successful implementation of the programme to strengthen IPPF organizational capacity for social enterprise development and support sustainable financing for service delivery networks at local levels.

With significant experience of social enterprise development and management in developing countries, you have proven experience of social entrepreneurship and of managing a multi-country programme. Experience with internal programme communications is essential, as are strong leadership and management skills with experience in the management of multi-disciplinary and virtual teams. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven influencing and negotiating abilities, and strong analytical skills. Excellent project/programme management skills with experience of reporting to donor agencies are essential, as are excellent budget and time management skills.

Educated to postgraduate level in business, economics, social science or a related field, you are fluent in English. Fluency in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
