Job Details

ISS is seeking a number of talented and self- motivated research interns for the winter of 2017. Our interns will be assigned to a dynamic regional market (Southern Europe, Eastern Europe & Scandinavian) and guided by our top experienced analysts.

Responsibilities 

• Assist our analysts by closely inspecting the agendas of annual general meetings.
• Learn about and then formulate vote recommendations.
• Gather data based on information in the company’s public documents.
• Engage with companies in order to procure additional information.
• Prepare reports detailing the analyses and explaining why a certain vote recommendation was given.

Desired qualifications 

• A relevant master degree in law, political sciences, economics, business or finance or in the process of obtaining such a degree.
• A prior experience in a relevant area will be considered as an advantage.
• A strong analytical ability, numeracy, strong oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to assimilate large quantities of information, work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
• An organized and structured mind to deal with large quantities of work and strict deadlines.
• Fluent (both spoken and written) in English AND a minimum one of the following languages :
• Turkish = Southern Europe market
• Polish/Russian = Eastern Europe market
• Danish/Swedish/Norwegian/Finnish = Scandinavian market

This internship is remunerated (€ 1000 monthly + transport refunding) and will run for 4 to 6 months starting in January/February 2017, depending on the covered markets.
