PART-TIME LECTURER; COMMUNICATION & STUDY SKILLS UNIT CAD

Duties: The successful candidates will be required to (i) teach Communication and Academic Literacy courses to undergraduate students from any of the following Faculties: Humanities, Business, Science, Engineering & Technology, Education, Health Sciences and Social Sciences; (ii) carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of the Unit.

Requirements: Applicants for the position should have: (i) a Masters Degree in any of the following areas: Applied Linguistics, Academic Literacy/Literacies, English for Specific Purposes, English for Academic Purposes, Communication Studies, Science Communication, Health Communication, Technical Communication, Corporate Communication, or related fields; (ii) a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least a 2(i) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65%; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
