Minimum Requirements
Qualifications Required: NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS MUST ADDRESS EACH SELECTION CRITERION DETAILED BELOW WITH SPECIFIC AND COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION SUPPORTING EACH ITEM. Items 1-7 are ALL REQUIRED 1. Successful completion of secondary school is required. 2. Five years of progressively responsible experience which includes administration, program or project planning and monitoring, travel arrangement and logistics, liaising with contacts and service providers, monitoring and administering funds, planning and coordinating events. 3. English level IV (fluent) - writing/reading/speaking is required. (This will be tested). 4. Thorough knowledge of administrative and office support procedures including secretarial support, procurement, travel arrangement, coordination of motor pool and rental car support is required. 5. Broad knowledge of South African educational system is required. 6. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007, including Word, Excel, Outlook and be computer literate to be able to use Internet for Informational research. (This will be tested). |
Job Specification
Basic Function of Position: The incumbent serves as the secretary for the Regional English Language Office (RELO) in Pretoria. The incumbent also, provides administrative support such as travel arrangements, correspondence, English teaching forum magazine subscription management, overseas procurements, and reimbursement arrangements. Incumbent is responsible for logistical support for RELO program events and coordinates with other posts and mission elements as required to carry out programs. Closing date: February 14, 2012.
