Papua New Guinea is enjoying strong economic growth averaging around six to eight per cent off the back of a combination of high commodity prices and significant investment in world class mining and energy projects. Recently, the Board of this leading telecommunications group have sought to revitalise and improve their mobile business through investment in technical expertise and network expansion.
The Chief Executive Officer (Ref No 212.1.3582) and Chief Financial Officer (Ref No 212.1.3583) will work as a team to improve the operating efficiencies, market position and branding, and prepare the company for the future. The intention of the Board is to recruit a combination of individuals with complementary skills that together will create capability to underwrite growth and expansion.
For either role, you will need an appropriate qualification that supports your ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level and a very strong appreciation of how to successfully manage a mobile telecommunications business. With regard to personal characteristics, each role requires outstanding leadership skills, truly effective communication and the innate ability to instil confident self-belief and a commitment to excellence in others.
Remuneration packages reflecting expatriate terms and conditions will also include short-term and long-term incentives which will be negotiated in conjunction with the successful appointees.
