Reporting to the Shut Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Shut Coordinator's primary purpose is to contribute to the sustainment of safety, conformance, performance and survivability of electrical systems in support of Cape Lambert. This role will provide Electrical Technical support to the Superintendent, shutdown electricians and to the Cape Lambert Operation as a whole.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
· Ensure electrical safety issues are reported and addressed immediately.
· Monitor, correct and report on electrical maintenance issues
· Maintain the Area Isolations data base - review and update isolation procedures.
· Coordinate the generation of maintenance notifications/orders for maintenance work
· Manage assigned projects, contractors and assist with supervising respective teams.
· Investigate, coordinate resources and implement electrical regulatory and compliance improvements.
The successful applicant will be electrically trade qualified and have previous experience within the mining industry. Demonstrated experience supervising a team as well as a high voltage switching ticket and/or instrumentation ticket will be looked upon favourably. Your ability to communicate with all levels of the business coupled with a high attention to detail will be the key to success in this position.
