Rio Tinto Alcan's (RTA) Yarwun alumina refinery is located 10 km north-west of the Central Queensland port city of Gladstone. The dynamic Yarwun team is committed to achieving new benchmark performance levels in production, quality, community relations and health, safety and environment. Yarwun is the first alumina refinery to be built in the western world in over twenty years and is still expanding with the Yarwun 2 construction project (US$1.8b) to more than double its alumina production capacity in 2012.
Rio Tinto Alcan Yarwun are currently inviting applications for Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians to join their highly skilled teams. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for providing quality electrical and instrumentation maintenance to the site. We currently have vacancies in all areas across the site.
Working within a small, tight-knit team, you will hold electrical, instrumentation or dual Electrical & Instrumentation trade qualifications and possess a solid knowledge of electrical or instrumentation maintenance in an industrial, mining or processing environment. Your strong communication skills, team orientation and commitment to continuous improvement and safety are imperative as is the ability to work unsupervised in a constructive and effective manner.
