Responsibilities:
As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will report to the Area Maintenance Coordinator. You will be a team player who is dedicated to excellence in safety, in protecting the environment, and in maintaining equipment reliability. You will have a strong foundation in preventative and predictive maintenance as well as having superior skills within your area of expertise.
Ensures that the required maintenance activities are completed in a manner that promotes safety as the first priority.
Provides proactive safety and environmental leadership by example.
Fosters a spirit of cooperation between operators, trades and technical staff to achieve Utility Area and overall goals.
Assist in the development of the Instrumentation Maintenance Philosophy and Maintenance Procedures.
Assess and input into the instrumentation spare parts requirements for the area on an ongoing basis.
Plans daily and long-term instrumentation/control maintenance activities. This includes priority setting in consultation with operations, maintenance and technical input.
Executes instrumentation maintenance activities.
Stays current with applicable governmental regulations, which may affect Instrumentation Maintenance Procedures.
Other duties and activities as appropriate and necessary
Assist in the development of the Electrical Maintenance Philosophy and Maintenance Procedures.
Assess and input into electrical spare parts requirements for the area on an ongoing basis.
Encourages participation from operations, technical and maintenance in developing innovative solutions to problems.
Executes electrical maintenance activities.
Stays current with applicable governmental regulations, which may affect Electrical Maintenance Procedures.
Other duties and activities as appropriate and necessary.
Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer
No "fly in, fly out" option is offered with this position. Relocation to Fort McMurray
Journeyman Instrument Technician Interprovincial Certificate
Journeyman Electrician/Industrial Electrician Interprovincial Certificate would be considered an asset.
Power System Electrician Certification would be considered an asset.
5 - 10 years experience in Electrical and Instrumentation/Control System Maintenance in an industrial setting.
5- 10 years experience in a Cogeneration/Power Generation facility.
Experience in process plant commissioning would be an asset.
A strong grasp of the English language, both spoken and written
