To operate effectively, you will become a member of various business teams and take direct responsibility for customer contracts, including risk assessment, negotiation and contract administration.
Your responsibilities will include:

- advise on matters of compliance with regard to local and other applicable laws in areas including import/export, anti-corruption, product regulatory and human resources;
- manage litigation and certain regulatory matters relating to commercial contracts.
Given the international nature of our client's business operations, you may be required to travel regularly inside and outside Europe, resulting in a travel percentage of 25%-35%. Profile
You are a German-qualified lawyer with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in German law and EU law. Ideally you have commercial experience at a respected law firm, possibly with some in-house experience. This in-house experience could also be gained through project work or secondment to a company.
- Exposure and experience in the US or with US companies or firms would be a real plus;
- You are fluent in German, English and one other European language (written and spoken) with Italian preferred but not required;
- You are a team player and you communicate easily and efficiently with your colleagues and clients.
In addition to a motivating and competitive remuneration package, the function offers a unique blend of internationally oriented work with a hands-on approach, requiring you to show a readiness to "step into the business" and help realize the business objectives of your team.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy in organizing your work, whilst being able to seek the advice and counsel of your senior colleague to whom you report.
There will be plenty of opportunities to be directly involved in commercial negotiations, involving regular travel in and outside Europe. You will also receive proper induction training at the start of your employment at the US headquarters and you will have the opportunity to regularly meet with the members of the legal team in the US and Europe.
