Plant Engineer (Mechanical)
Working in the Pongola Mill Division and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be required to manage the maintenance and operations of the Mill, as well as provide technical input for the setting up and optimisation of relevant equipment. He/she will compile and control maintenance, operational and capital budgets, and ensure the provision and maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
To apply, the incumbent requires a BSc (Eng) or BTech (Eng) or NHD (Eng) qualification, together with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Engineer in a heavy industrial environment. We seek a candidate with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with full computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as knowledge of NOSA 5-star standards. Previous sugar maintenance and operations experience will be a definite advantage, and knowledge of GCC factories would be an added advantage.
