Senior Youth Advocate Just for Kids Law

At Just for Kids Law (JfK Law) we provide advocacy, assistance and support to children and young people (usually between the ages of 10 – 21) who find themselves in difficulty. We advocate on behalf of our clients—in school exclusion hearings, at police stations, in the courts and in other formal and informal settings. We aim to ensure our clients receive a fair hearing, are properly supported and have access to essential services (such as a placement in school or a stable home).

We are seeking a Senior Youth Advocate to join our team and help improve the life chances of the children and young people we work with. We are looking for an energetic, self- motivated and organised individual who is prepared to throw themselves into and invest in our young, vibrant organisation.

We will expect you to be computer literate with outstanding communication and listening skills. Experience of working with children and young people is essential. We especially want to make sure that young people are involved in all aspects of this project, helping us to shape the project, not just receiving our help as clients. The Senior Youth Advocate will be under the direct supervision of the Directors of Just for Kids Law and will be line managing the Youth Advocate, Mentor and Opportunity Advocates.
