The Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Reliability engineering group within Asset Management are responsible for ensuring individual best practices are identified and replicated throughout the RTIO business. We are presently seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Superintendent Reliability Engineer - HME to be based in our Operating Centre Building, near the Perth Airport, Belmont.
The main responsibilities of this role will include :-
  • Develop, recommend and implement maintenance strategies for improving HME reliability across all RTIO HME operations
  • Review current standardised RTIO reliability processes for improvements
  • Liaise heavily with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to rectify product issues
  • Provide assistance to Site HME teams with processes for effective critical spares analysis, PM Optimisation, condition monitoring and other reliability techniques
  • Report reliability performance and verify that continuous improvement is occurring
  • Support Pilbara mining operations by leading reliability initiatives to improve the performance of assets
  • Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings, increased production and/or equipment life cycle costs
  • Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify, develop and implement solutions
  • Interrogate SAP for equipment history in order to identify improvement opportunities
  • Mentor Site reliability and graduate HME Engineers
  • Drive collaboration and cooperation across the HME Reliability Engineering Group
  • Enhance alignment with planning, contracts and operational teams.
As a key strategic role within RTIO, the successful incumbent will ideally possess an engineering degree (preferably Mechanical) and significant operational experience. Demonstrated strong leadership and mentoring experience, excellent communication and the ability to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders are pivotal to the success of this role. This role has a requirement for significant site travel.
