Alimak Mechanic / Trainer -Bulyanhulu Gold Mine
Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman we seek to appoint an Alimak Mechanic / Trainer at our Bulyanhulu gold mining operation.
The primary role of this position will be to provide advanced Alimak mechanical training to Tanzanian mechanics and to provide mining services to the operational mining team to ensure optimum safe production at minimum cost within the statutory and corporate framework
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintain and repair Alimak units
• Alimak training of Tanzanian mechanics
• Keeping all maintenance records
• Facilitation of effective communication and understanding of safety policies and practices
• Plan and request consumable usage in a cost effective manner
• Implementation, valuation and management of the idea suggestion system
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
• Mining qualification/ certification
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience with Alimak raise climbers
• Excellent knowledge of Alimak raise mining
• Ability to train local mechanics
• Strong leadership skills
• Good organisational skills
• Working as an expat previously would be an advantage
• Good experience and knowledge of safety regulations and best pactice
• Conceptual thinking ability
• Performance orientation
