International Senior Project Funding Officer

We are looking for person who will establish, build and manage relationships with prospective and existing international institutional donors – mainly governments and foundations - in order to secure grant funding for Leonard Cheshire Disability’s (LCD) international projects and programmes. Working closely with donors, and UK and regional colleagues to generate and respond to funding opportunities, the post-holder will contribute to the construction of a strong financial base to support LCD’s international work.
Reporting to the International Senior Resource Development Manager, the post-holder will liaise with UK, and regional programme and finance staff to develop proposals as well as producing quality and timely narrative and financial reports for current projects. Upon contract signing for new projects, the post holder will consolidate contractual and other necessary information, and ensure effective handover and capacity building of UK and regional programme staff for implementation.
You will be educated to degree level and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You will have substantial experience of successfully securing project funding from statutory donors and foundations, such as the European Union/Commission, DFID, USAID, Comic Relief and the Big Lottery Fund. You will also have demonstrable experience of reviewing and writing project reports, analysing project budgets and of working in international development or overseas. You should also have an affinity with the ethos of Leonard Cheshire Disability and an interest in disability issues.
