OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME : To facilitate communication and flow of ideas among Member States of the WHO African Region and provide translation, editing and interpretation support to Regional programme operations
Description of duties: English language: -interpreters who can interpret both from French and Portuguese French language: -interpreters who can interpret both from English and Portuguese Portuguese language: -interpreters who can interpret both from English and French
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A degree/diploma in interpretation. Being a Member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) is an asset.
Experience: Seven years of progressive experience in interpretation of work at the international level, preferably at international/regional levels or in a United Nations system organization
Languages: Proficiency in English or French or Portuguese and knowledge of the other two languages.
