Salary: £24,520-£29,249 per annum
The ELT Centre at the University of St Andrews provides a wide range of programmes for international students, ranging from year-long foundation programmes, shorter pre-sessionals and teacher training programmes and a University-wide English language support service. We aim to provide an extremely high quality learning experience, and a supportive and stimulating environment for our students. We are proactive in international student recruitment in a number of countries.
We wish to appoint a dynamic individual who will oversee and coordinate departmental administration, with particular responsibility for student marketing and recruitment activity, from enquiries through to successful applications, who will be responsible for the administration of all aspects of the student application process, from marketing campaigns through to associated departmental record-keeping and accounting, and the management of staff engaged in these activities. The post holder would be a member of the ELT Management Group.
Purpose: Responsible for the administration of all ELT/CIFP activities, specifically those relating to all aspects of student recruitment and marketing; liaising with Director on marketing strategies and implementation; compilation, production, mailing and recording of marketing information; provision of professional education advice to prospective students and their parents and agents; organization and oversight of student application processes, and the maintenance of financial records relating to the above.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of the UK HE sector; have experience of working within an international environment including liaison with overseas partners and non-native English speakers; have some familiarity with non-UK education systems; excellent presentational, interpersonal and communicative skills, including fluency in oral and written English; high level of computer literacy including experience of using complex institutional databases; strong organizational skills and evidence of ability to project manage, act independently and meet deadlines and targets.
