Planning and Accountability Officer

SALARY: £17,255 – 18,473 pa pro rata
LOCATION: London EC1R 0BJ
CONTRACT: 8 month contract 21 hours per week
CLOSING DATE: 3rd July 2012

If you have an interest in accountability practices within the NGO sector and have a good understanding of international development issues, you could make a real difference by providing support to ActionAid’s Strategy, Planning and Accountability team.

As the Planning and Accountability Officer you will help our campaign for change by participating in planning, monitoring processes, evaluations as well as internal communication activities.

This will involve supporting organisational evaluations, the implementation of effectiveness assessment tools as well as assisting with the drafting of ActionAid accountability reports.

In addition you will coordinate organisational training initiatives, the drafting of our annual organisational plan as well as working with our internal communications team.With an interest in planning, monitoring and evaluation and accountability issues you will have well developed PC skills, a good understanding of international development issues and experience of working in an administration role.

You will have an eye for detail and strong communication skills.
