UNICEF Consultancy: Sport for Development

Purpose

To provide support to the CSP Sport for Development portfolio by developing strategies, tools and resources to help integrate sport partnerships into core organizational priorities. For details please see the Terms of Reference.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Advanced university degree in the social sciences, programme communication, international development.
• 5-8 years relevant work experience. Previous experience with UNICEF is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate research findings into practical guidance.
• Strong understanding of civil society’s role in international development.
• Familiarity with sport for development concepts and an appreciation of the potential for sport to change lives.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and produce results.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, often on short notice.
• Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.

Duration: 11 months
