For our Head Office in Amsterdam we are looking for a temporary (pregnancy replacement):

Manager Information
32 – 40 hours, from 24 September 2012 up until 29 January 2013

As Manager Information (MI), it is your responsibility to manage and optimize the information process and its infrastructure within War Child. Your department plays a crucial coordination role between users and suppliers of ICT and information Services (both internal and external).
Your specific role is to translate the objectives of the War Child organisation into an information strategy; to advise the management team how to conduct an information policy; to control the functional management and special projects within the field of information and organization management.

Key responsibilities
• Overall responsible for optimal information service and the relevant infrastructure needed;
• Translate the organizational objectives into a concrete process and information structure;
• Advising role to management team about how to manage the company processes, the information services, as well as analysis of O & I questions;
• Day to day management of the Organisation and Information Department, as well as managing its staff (4 employees);
• Taking the lead in complex change and change processes within the company, as well as being responsible for the implementation of these changes within the organization in general.
• Responsible for clear service agreements with the different (internal/external) suppliers. Sets up ICT requirements and coordinates the maintenance of the information systems within the whole organization

Your profile
Polytechnical or business management education on academic level. A clear vision on the role of information management within an international NGO like War Child. At least 3 years experience in changing business processes, producing business information plans or ICT architecture plans. Knowledge on the ICT working field in general. Strong communication skills, and a result driven and client orientated mentality. Fluency in Dutch and English required (verbal and written)
