WaterAid - Programme Funding Manager (Africa)

Salary: Starting from £36,032
Location: Vauxhall, London

Working within WaterAids Programme Funding team and part of the wider Communications and Fundraising Department, you will provide leadership, management and support for programme funding relationships relating to WaterAid’s Africa Country Programmes.

Working closely with our country programmes and other WaterAid staff you will promote and guide the development of strategic and appropriate fundraising approaches and ensure compliance with institutional income contracts.

As Programme Funding Manager, Africa you will:

• Lead, manage and motivate Programme Funding team members to maximise their contribution to WaterAid; coaching and supporting staff to resolve more complex funding issues.
• Provide guidance and co-ordination throughout the organisation for institutional funding; securing funds, managing effective donor relationships and ensuring strong donor contract compliance management.
• Support programme and regional staff to develop strategic approaches to in-country and regional funding and to develop new ways of working that promote best practice and improve country programme capacity to source and manage sustainable and appropriate funding.
• Identify and develop relationships with potential new donors and keep up to date with donor policies, potential funding opportunities and funding application processes.
• Represent WaterAid on programme funding issues within the sector and lead on programme funding learning within WaterAid, encouraging cross-departmental information and knowledge sharing.
