Associate, DGFD Office Standard Chartered Bank - Singapore


The Associate will assist the Deputy Group Finance Director (DGFD) and his team in the management of the Finance function. This role includes assisting in day-to-day operational management for the DGFD, including communications, committee preparation, headcount & budget management and adhoc analysis.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Tasks will be largely project-based and will often involve data collection, manipulation and discussions and submissions to senior management and/or committees. Projects vary in terms of scope and timelines but are usually strategic in nature. Other responsibilities may be assigned on a needs basis. This is an exciting role for a bright, highly organised applicant with a strong academic profile and knowledge of the operations of a major, global financial services industry firm. This role will include liaison at the highest levels across the bank and so the candidate should be mature, a first class communicator and able to manage a workload that will be fast paced and demanding.

Qualifications & Skills

• 1-2 years min working experience in a global bank or financial services organisation
• Degree educated with a very strong academic profile
• Resourceful, hardworking
• Able to deliver with minimum supervision
• Strong people skills: able to reach out to individuals and teams for input and interact with all levels of the organisaiton
• Must be able to work to deadlines, be very organised and calm under pressure
