Humanitarian Organization for Local Development (HOLD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered with Government of Afghanistan. HOLD aims at improving the living standard of local communities through education, awareness initiatives, local governance,Agriculture and rural development projects. HOLD has offices in the provinces of Kabul, Logar, Wardak, Ghazni, Zabul, Farah and Kapisa.
Project Background: HOLD is starting a technical vocational training project in Nejrab district of Kapisa Province. The project aims at establishing a technical and vocational Center where youth from local communities could be trained in five different fields. The selection of the trainees will be coordinated with the local
community to ensure fair representation from various villages of Nejrab district. 100 youth will be selected from a larger group. They would be trained in the areas of Auto‐repair (heavy, light vehicle, and vehicle wiring), Welding, Carpentry and Masonry.
Job Summary
-Duties and Responsibilities
1. Advertise/introduce the project objectives to the community using traditional channels of communication such as mosques, Imams Places, Shuras, Schools and etc.;2. Obtain community endorsement and support throughout project implementation;
3. Assist HOLD during the initial needs assessment phase particularly explanation of Beneficiary selection criteri to the relevant stakeholders;
4. Prepare Village Profile of the Nejrab districts;
5. Prepare participant profiles to ensure no active members of the insurgency are selected as beneficiary (the project will encourage those community members who renounced violence and would like to integrate into the society)
6.Regular Monitoring of Community opinion and feedback on project activities and ensure that the relevant stakeholders and local community do not create any problem for the project activities;
7. Inform HOLD office of any risks and threats to the project and suggest practical solutions;
8.Provide recommendations on local community support and ecurity issues to the project manager;
9. Perform any other tasks assigned;
Qualification
1. The candidate should be at least a high school graduate. Preference will begiven to diplomat and university graduates;
2. Should have at least 3 years of work experiences as community mobilize,
social worker and similar positions;
3. Should have good contact with local community and relevant stakeholders in
Nejrab/Kapisa;
4. Should have good interpersonal and communication skills;
