The role: Diversity Programs Manager

You are focused on cultivating outstanding candidates for Google's long-term hiring needs, and you are the glue that ties together a cross-functional and international group of staffing teams. As a Programs Manager for Diversity and Talent Inclusion you will play a pivotal role in creating, designing, and implementing the strategies and programs to achieve this vision for Google. Driving the delivery of best-in-industry programs and practices will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with Google employees, executives, various HR teams and our external partners. As a Diversity Programs Manager, you will design and deliver program plans that enhance Google’s efforts to attract, recruit and retain top diverse talent as well as understanding the needs of our diverse customer and user base. All of your efforts will mirror the company’s dedication to reflect the globally diverse audience that our search engine and tools serve. You will drive the full cycle of project management, including conception, design, implementation, launch and tracking, always motivated by making continuous improvements.
This is a part-time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with VPs, Directors, HR Business Partners, Staffing Leads and Googlers, developing a deep understanding of the organization's workforce diversity, inclusiveness and retention opportunities.
  • Analyze metrics and initiate research on diversity best practices and benchmarks as input to designing and implementing diversity initiatives.
  • Create short-term and long-term strategies to meet current priorities and to anticipate future needs, and align cross-functional resources to deliver high business impact.
  • Drive the full cycle of project management including conception, design, implementation, launching and tracking for programs related to strengthening workforce diversity, career development programs, talent management platforms, an inclusive culture and other areas.
  • Prepare and deliver regular presentations to clients and partners, to achieve objectives and to drive ownership for diversity deeper into the business. Establish robust external partnerships with organizations that strengthen the diversity of our communities.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA.
  • Experience in management consulting or human resources including experience in diversity programs.
  • Track record for delivering results through successful program design and implementation, ideally in a client-facing, change management or consulting role.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy.
  • Proven influencing and relationship building skills with clients, partners and people from various backgrounds and cultures.
  • Experience in Marketing, particularly marketing to diverse customer groups. Familiarity with relevant global regulations and guidelines.
