Job Purpose | To
continually analyse commercial schedule requirements and crew resource
availability to optimise crew resources in a productive and cost
efficient manner at both a strategic and tactical level. Based on
detailed analysis and 'what if' modelling, recommend optimum crew
movements & crew pairing solutions and identify opportunities for
cost avoidance and cost saving.

Responsibilities |
- Produce accurate short, medium & long term crew resource requirements using best available information
- Ensure
availability of adequate qualified flying crew to meet the requirements
of the operation, considering all aspects of manpower planning
calculations
- Provide detailed reporting on all manpower planning assumptions
- Track and produce all crew resource KPI’s for corporate scorecard and finance
- Provide cost analysis of manpower requirements, lead times, tranining costs
- Produce & maintain full transparent process for GCAA, Internal Governance, Internal Quality & Safety, and Finance audits
- Maintain & update as required, all data and planning assumptions in the Manpower planning optimization system
- Produce cost efficient high level training plans to maintain operational stability
- Build annual crew resource budgets that meet the requirements of the company
- Responsible
for running the Pairing optimization system, loading of network SSIM
files to produce monthly crew pairings and handover to the rostering
teams within agreed timescales
- Use the
Pairing optimization system to do what if analysis as required on
changes to schedule, crew basing, MFF pairings, seasonal schedules, crew
fleeting, crew compliment changes, productivity analysis, new AC type
inclusion, new destination in schedule and recommend ideal solutions
- Create Crew Pairings that are cost-efficient whilst being operationally practical
- Optimise variable costs associated with crew activity (e.g. crew allowances, hotels and ground transport)
- Fine tuning of
rules and parameters which have an impact on pairing solutions –
ensuring the optimum balance of cost / productivity / quality is
achieved
- Plan efficient, legal manpower and pairings solutions to meet the fast paced growth of the airline
- Work with
Finance department to ensure crew and crew related costs are within
budget levels, and report on & identify reasons for crossing budget
levels
- Work with Network planning to analyze and report on the impact of significant schedule changes on crew pairing solutions
- Constantly
working with all departments involved having a direct effect on manpower
requirements, network schedule changes for pairing optimizer, MPP
formula changes, historical stats, training resource, etc

Requirements |
Qualification & Education:
- Must
hold a minimum of University / College level education. Advanced
education in mathematics, statistics, and decision making is esstential.
Experience:
- A
minimum of 5 years of direct flight operational experience in Crew
Resource area. Experience in manpower planning and pairing optimization
is highly recommended.
Training & Knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High computer literacy
- Excellent creative writing skills
- Strategic planning and project management skills
- Good knowledge of MSoffice, including excel, word & power point
