Job Purpose | The
purpose of this job is principally to assist Head of Legal(Local
Affairs) to provide legal advise and support to all Departments of the
Company on a wide variety of corporate, commercial, employee and
aviation law related matters. The post holder is required to research
and assist in the preparation of advice to the Management in order to
safeguard the interest of Etihad and its employees and to ensure that
the rules and procedures of the Company are followed in all aspects of
it activities, be it in procurement, HR, Employee-related or Corporate
matters.

Responsibilities |
- Working with Head of Local Affairs to manage and defend local litigation in Courts in the UAE.
- Take
necessary steps in liaison with external lawyer and into UAE Laws,
Courts , Reconciliation and Settlement departments, Employment Contracts
etc. and prepare/ advice to internal clients in respect of matters
entrusted by the General Counsel or Head of Legal to be handled
independently
- Prepare
Contracts, Letter and Legal Documents for submission byEtihad to other
Parties, Court , Ministries and Government Authorities.
- As
directed by General Counsel or Head of Legal liaise between Etihad and
outside Lawyers at the Etihad Corporate Office on all related legal
matters including settlement of claims, litigation to defend legal
actions on behalf of Etihad and Performing other legal work
- Undertake
mission for consultation with outside bodes, international
Organizations or Governmental Authorities as director by General Counsel
or Head of Legal
- Deal and liaise with other Department on legal matters such as: HR ,Finance ,Security, Audit etc
- Prepare and review written memorandums to be submitted to the court on behalf of Etihad

Requirements | Qualifications and Education:
- Fully
Qualified Lawyer of a good standing admitted to practice law in the UAE
and registered by the ministry of Justice with at least 8 years’
experience in court appearances in litigation.
- Advanced Degree in Aviation Law from an University of Repute
Experience:
- At least 8 -10 Years of Work Experience, preferably in the Aviation Industry and having court experience in litigation .
Training:
- UAE Laws, Courts and in Legal Drafting
Knowledge:
- Knowledge
of UAE and International Laws relating to Aviation; Must have a
excellent analytical ability and good communication skills, both written
and verbal
- Must be service oriented, capable of working on a diverse range of matters at the same time
