Job Summary:
The Finance Officer is responsible for carrying out accounting and financial functions in accordance with established principles and practices and producing periodic financial reports. The position holder is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording and billing of loans and other accounting transactions; supporting the timely preparation of monthly financial statements, and other periodic management reports; processing payments and disbursements and ensuring timely reconciliations of assigned nominal ledger and bank accounts.
Job Specifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting coupled with a certified public accountancy or chartered accountancy qualification. A Master’s degree in related discipline will have additional advantage;
- Strong financial management skills with a minimum of 5 years post qualification professional experience preferably in the financial sector;
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and report writing skills as well as the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision;
- Highly proficient in the use of enterprise resource planning systems particularly SAP.
