Job Summary
Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a Senior Wildlife Practitioner to coordinate wildlife management and conservation efforts, and associated business development activities in the Eastern U. S. The successful applicant will have a strong background in permitting and management of listed species, and have state and federal wildlife regulatory experience. This person is expected to manage, lead and expand our strong staff of wildlife biologists in the East, and to coordinate with related projects and initiatives across all of Cardno ENTRIX. The ideal candidate will show proven success managing multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, extensive experience with state and federal listed species regulations and agency negotiation.

- Evaluation, management and permitting associated with listed species and critical habitat
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate work for a diverse array of wildlife biologists in multiple offices
- Foster a strong team environment focused on problem solving, client service, and technical excellence
- Develop and actively pursue new markets for wildlife work, coordinate proposals and budgets, and maintain and expand client relationships
- Interact with state and federal wildlife agencies on projects and emerging regulatory issues
- Provide litigation support and expert witness testimony
- Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary teams of consultants
Key Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in wildlife biology or related field
- 15+ years experience in listed species permitting and personnel management
- Solid inter-personal, project management, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Ability to periodically travel to field sites and other Cardno ENTRIX offices throughout the U.S.
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) is a plus
