ODI Internship on the Post-2015 Development Agenda

The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) is the UK's leading independent think tank on international development and humanitarian issues. An exciting opportunity has arisen to become involved in the research and communications work of ODI’s Growth, Poverty and Inequality Programme.
Your input will support a successful area of work contributing to the UN process towards agreeing future global development goals ‘post-2015’ - after the Millennium Development Goals expire.
This is a structured voluntary internship assignment, where you will have the space to contribute your ideas and knowledge, whilst supporting a key post-2015 research and communications project. You will also have scope to contribute to the work of other researchers in the team on an ad-hoc basis as time allows.
Core areas of input: 1. Updating and supporting the analysis of the Future Development Goals Tracker - see here for further information on this initiative. 2. Researching and monitoring news and topical opinion pieces on the post-2015 agenda, updating these to post2015.org (a key information hub on the post-2015 goals process), and engaging via the post2015.org twitter account. 3. Ad-hoc research and communications input across the team as time allows, including linking key ODI resources to the Wiki Progress site on post2015.
Useful skills or interests: International languages; research and communications; working with data or databases; online engagement; development policy analysis.
Duration of assignment: Part-time (2.5 days per week) for 3 months
Start date: 28 February 2013 End date: 28 May 2013
This is a voluntary work experience opportunity offered on an unpaid basis, and we will reimburse daily expenses up to £12 /day. It would suit those with little to no career experience seeking to build their knowledge and experience.
