BBC Information and Archives (part of the Technology, Distribution & Archive department of the Operations Division) is located in London, Caversham and throughout the English regional centres, and is a key contributor to the programme-making process. I&A manages one of the world's largest audio-visual archives, in an environment where new technology, digitisation and creativity are at the forefront of developing improved access to this very valuable resource.

Role

As Business Change Manager you'll work with the major stakeholders both within I&A and the production community to lead on the detailed planning & implementation and communication of major changes both within I&A and across the BBC as a whole. In your role, you'll play a pivotal part in I&A's business re-alignment in tune with the development and impact of the delivery of Digital Archive projects, file based working, interim solutions for management of file based content (whilst awaiting delivery of the digital archive), and the required transformation of long-established work practices into new ways of working to meet customer and business demand. Engaging with I&A managers and other partners around the BBC to define the change, assess associated benefits/impacts, build a roadmap with key milestones for delivery of the business change, identify appropriate measures of success and progress monitoring is essential.

Requirements

We need you to have business change management experience as well as an understanding of the Production/Archives interdependency/strategic aims, business, objectives, and its output. You'll have knowledge and experience of delivering change initiatives or projects to time, cost and scope and proven experience of leading business change. In addition to your strong team-building skills and proven experience of leading, you'll have the ability to liaise closely with stakeholders/managers/staff at all levels of the business.
