Analyst - Advisory
Location: London SE1
Reports to: Associate Director, Advisory

The Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
• Conducting primary and secondary data collection (e.g. through interviews, surveys, desk-based research, and managing data-collection from clients)
• Developing and applying frameworks for analysis and problem-solving
• Executing analytical tasks on client projects, which will include at least some of the following: carbon footprinting, market analysis; business and financial analysis; policy analysis
• As part of the above, conducting extensive data modelling on Excel (e.g. developing business models and forecasts); as well as communicating findings orally and in writing
• Key skill and development areas are likely to include:
• Modelling skills
• Translation of user and business needs into process mapping and system design
• Algorithm development
• Footprinting/Life-cycle analysis
• In addition, the Analyst will also contribute to business development and institution-building efforts where required (e.g. knowledge development, marketing and sales)
Key Skills:
Interviewed candidates are expected to demonstrate evidence of the following skills and abilities:
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills (in particular where applied within a business or financial context)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and influence decision-making
• Ability to think and work independently, taking the initiative and 'ownership' of tasks, and having strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of tools. Experienced graduates will in particular be expected to have:
• Proven ability to use MS Excel for complex problem solving and analysis
• Experience in using MS PowerPoint and Word for communication and report writing
• Experience in database and statistical packages is an advantage, but not required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree educated (or equivalent); graduates with at least a 2:1 level of achievement (or equivalent) are strongly preferred
• Fluency in oral and written English
• Experience in business or market analysis and/or consultancy is an advantage but not required
• Knowledge of carbon management, climate change, and environmental sustainability is an advantage but not required
• Specific knowledge of ICT industry and technology is an advantage but not required
