Organizational Setting |
The objective of the Department of Nuclear Energy (NE) is to foster the efficient and safe use of nuclear power by supporting interested Member States in improving the performance of nuclear power plants, the nuclear fuel cycle, and the management of nuclear wastes; in catalysing innovation in nuclear power and fuel cycle technologies; in developing indigenous capabilities for national energy planning; in deploying new nuclear power plants; in preserving and disseminating nuclear information and knowledge; and in advancing science and industry through improved operation of research reactors. |
Main purpose |
Under the supervision of the Departmental Administrative Officer and in close co-operation with the Project Managers and Administrative Assistants, the Finance Associate keeps track for all tasks/activities funded by Extrabudgetary (ExB) sources, prepares forecasts, analytical reports and contributes to the streamlining of the ExB processes from the pledge to reporting to donors. |
Role |
The Finance Associate will work in Office of the Deputy Director General and will be a part of the administration team of the Department, providing support to projects and budgets control. |
Partnerships |
The Finance Associate builds collaborative working relationships with project managers and other specific areas of the Agency on issues related to the ExB processes and procedures and contributes to their improvement. |

Remuneration |
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $46 730 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $25 374*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation, home leave,pension plan and health insurance.
