The role

We are currently seeking a talented Urban Planning Manager to work closely with our other specialists based in our Campbelltown office and to take on the overall responsibility for the delivery of urban planning services.
With a minimum of 8 years commercial experience in details, you will play a key role in:
  • Managing the SMEC Urban planning team members, overseeing technical areas and operational activities, maintaining budgets and financial records for project control
  • Preparing fee submissions for projects.
  • Proactively dealing with the client and project team, maintaining existing client relationships and expanding our client base.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy or other relevant environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • Bachelor degree course in urban design, planning, landscape architecture or equivalent
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in urban planning with demonstrated experience in the areas of legislative requirements, masterplanning, client and people management, as well as financial management
  • Excellent technical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
