The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition is a global partnership of more than 200 public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can choose, obtain, and use affordable, high-quality supplies and related services to ensure their better reproductive health. Our Brussels-based Secretariat is staffed and managed by PATH, an international, nonprofit organization that helps communities around the world break longstanding cycles of poor health. The Secretariat also includes staff based at PATH’s offices in Washington, DC and Seattle. 

The Coalition Secretariat is seeking a Communications Associate to be responsible for supporting the Coalition Secretariat in providing effective communication services with a focus on graphic, design, and web content management work, including liaising with external consultants. The candidate will work under the supervision of the Communications Officer. Key responsibilities include:
Management of Coalition graphics, photos and other communication resources:
  • Day-to-day responsibility of creating, maintaining and editing graphic content of Coalition communication materials;
  • Minor editing of photos;
  • Maintaining a Coalition photo database;
  • Running stock photo searches;
  • Processing external graphics and photo related requests;
  • Liaising with external designers, photographers and printers.
Website management:
  • Day-to-day website management including uploading content, creating content, keep website news and resources up-to-date, and manage existing content;
  • Coding newsletter content into online tool and generating monthly newsletters;
  • Generate mass emails using templates and sending them out on listserves.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with a range of design and desktop design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign;
  • Have a thorough knowledge of popular web-design programmes such as Dreamweaver;
  • Strong organizational skills, high level of attention to detail and effective under deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment;
  • Well organized and adaptable to changing priorities;
  • Additional French and/or Spanish language skills preferred.

Required Experience

Communication, journalism or related degree, plus five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Must have legal authority to work in Belgium.
