Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Duration of Contract: Two-year fixed term contract (with potential to extend subject to business need and finding availability)
Location: Fauna & Flora International, Brazil (Brasilia desirable)
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced individual to provide technical, management and coordination expertise to our work programmes and initiatives with business in Brazil. The Technical Specialist, Brazil will have responsibility for managing exciting partnerships, with predominately mining and energy businesses willing to implement biodiversity management at sites across Brazil. You will contribute to the development of new partnerships with both business and national NGOs, helping to build capacity of these partners to work together in Brazil and internationally to address this growing need.
You must work effectively with FFI’s Mining and Energy Programme, the Agricultural Landscapes Programme and regional teams in order to cover a diverse work load. At the same time, you must be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and capacity to implement your components of the programme effectively and to fulfil partnership commitments.
Ideally, you will have a range of experience in the NGO and business sectors. Experience working in cross-sector partnerships would be an advantage. You will have a strategic, pragmatic and lateral approach to problem solving, and exhibit excellent technical, presentation and project management skills.
This role will involve collaboration and coordination with a range of FFI staff and will require significant national travel and some international travel to meet the objectives and requirements of the programme.
