Ground support for all airlines at Doha Airport
Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) is responsible for providing ground handling services at Doha International Airport for Qatar Airways and a host of other airlines serving DIA. This covers everything from porters to baggage handlers/loaders, aircraft cleaners to equipment operators, and drivers to customer service agents.
About your job:
You will be responsible to manage the GSE Supervisors and Equipment Operations Section to create a system to maintain quality standards in aircraft handling. Play an effective role in monitoring the on-time performance on a daily and weekly basis whilst safety and security procedures are adhered to set company standards.
You will be expected to liaise between airline representatives, other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations with regards to all aspects of Equipment Operations and manpower distribution. Working within a team, you will need to work to present targets and timelines as a team; and show initiative and originality at the same time. You will have to ascertain that all staff within the Engineering Services Department meets the prerequisites for training and their skills are upgraded to meet the job requirements and ensure compliance to the SOP’s. Experience of leading, managing, inspiring and engaging a large multi-cultural workforce is very much needed in this role.
About you:
You must have a minimum of secondary school education level preferably with Technical background in Ground Equipment Maintenance with at least 02 years or more years’ experience as Ground Support Supervisor or equivalent in an Airline ground operations department or ground handling company. Should have ability to delegate work, set clear direction and to be able to motivate staffs and foster team work. Candidates with excellent communication and analytical skills, a good understanding of Ramp Safety and Fire Awareness Training and a complete package of Ground Support Equipment Training is very much needed in this job.
