The opportunity
 
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager, based at our coal operation, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW), to lead the team in all areas of maintenance, maintain the current best practices in business performance and continue to seek improvement at every turn. You will play a key role in safety leadership and strategic planning on site.
 
Located 15km south-west of Singleton in the heart of the Hunter Valley region in New South Wales, Mount Thorley Warkworth supplies high quality thermal and semi-soft coking coal for export markets. The surrounding region offers an attractive lifestyle which includes agriculture, wine trails and gourmet food which complement the regions' natural beauty.

What the role entails
 
This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with sound ethical values. Residentially based in Hunter Valley (Monday to Friday roster) and reporting to the General Manager MTW, you will be:
  • Driving safety, maintenance and cost performance of the team
  • Using reliability centered maintenance to drive component life and lowest cost per tonne operation
  • Delivering a high proportion of planned maintenance
  • Interacting and engaging directly with the workforce
  • Ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Building a safety focussed and performance driven culture based on mutual respect
What you will need for this role
 
To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
  • Experience in leading a large maintenance organisation with a strong commitment towards safety
  • Formal leadership training
  • Demonstrated performance in maintenance
A tertiary qualification in any relevant discipline will be desirable.
