 The Employment, Labour and Social Affairs (ELS)’s work at the OECD contributes to the organisation’s mission in assisting member countries and other economies, including emerging economies, in a broad range of policy areas, including employment, labour, skills, social, health and international migration.
We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who will assist the Director to provide leadership and strategic direction and be a key member of the Senior Management Team of the Organisation. S/he will support the strategic orientations of the Secretary-General in the areas of work of ELS, and will foster co-operation with other areas of the Organisation. S/he will coach other managers as they develop and deliver a complex programme of work.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the Directorate’s main policy areas through work at senior level in a national administration, international organisation or research institute. S/he will have strong leadership, excellent political skills and innovative strategic thinking.
This position requires fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English or French) and a good working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the other.
