Thiess Industrial Projects are currently seeking a Electrical Project Engineer (Harry & Broadwater FCS) to join the team on site on the QCLNG Upstream Works Project. This position will work a 14/7 roster, bus in bus out from Brisbane with one way of travel in your time, and one way of travel in project time (approximately 3.5 hours each way). Camp accommodation & meals will be provided whilst working on site. You will be hired as staff for the life of the project. 
This role will include but not limited to:
•  Demonstrate a commitment to health + safety
•  Provide engineering assistance and direction for field operations
•  Supervise engineering consultants and contractors as required
•  Participate in HAZOP, CHAZOP and integrity systems analyses for proposed infrastructure
•  Provide engineering input to infrastructure planning and development
•  Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to plant operators
•  Respond to Technical Queries from plant operations as required
•  Provide technical guidance to field operations with respect to operation of:
-  Maintenance of Hazardous Areas and associated documentation
-  Operation and Maintenance of Instrumentation and associated hardware and systems
-  Process control and process control systems
-  Procedures and documentation
-  Troubleshooting
•  Maintain technical and integrity records as required
•  Ensure compliance to regulation and codes for compression facilities and pipelines
•  Review work practices and procedures for compliance.
•  Be conversant in current engineering acts, codes and standards
•  Work with the Project Team for the successful delivery of the project, meeting the required quality, budget and time constraints with an emphasis on project delivery via safe work practices. 
To be considered for this role, you must already have:
•  Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent;
•  Competent, performed work with minimal supervision, experienced in area, work autonomously, able to solve complex problems;
•  High pressure gas experience;
•  Experience providing technical support with respect to compression and process facilities, gas metering;
•  Project management experience;
•  Sound knowledge of technical and engineering regulations and codes applying to a high pressure facilities and relevant electrical codes;
•  Experience in development of operating procedures and practices; 
•  Preference will be given to candidates who reside within Sth East Qld.
