Position Description:

The post is a dynamic one, the purpose of which is to lead the development of proposals and obtain funding for Plan’s programmes on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, to build and support the programmes department’s strategy, and to make a positive contribution to the overall business plan of Plan UK.
Essential facets of the role are: strategic planning and business development, team leadership, income generation, internal and external representation, technical support, and knowledge building.

Required Experience:

The successful candidate will have experience of working in the international development sector at a senior level and delivery of a robust SRHR programme strategy. Providing technical development support to national and international organizations.
You will also have experience of successful business development including the production of high quality proposals. Developing and securing institutional grants, managing complex projects overseas, and reporting to key institutional funders, such as (e.g. UNFPA, EU, DFID) is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 2) is £37,735 with future pay progression within the pay band from £37,735 to £41,928.
